We are delighted to announce the opening of our second research facility LUXEM 2 at the Department of Physics of the University of Pavia. The new laboratory’s aim is two-fold: (i) prototyping new technology for out-of-equilibrium studies of soft-condensed matter; (ii) fostering the development of young researchers competences, with set-ups of Atomic Force Microscopy, Optical Microscopy, Fourier Optics. The laboratory is also equipped with an ultrafast laser oscillator for training on mode-locking and ultrafast laser physics. LUXEM thanks the ERC HYPER PoC, Fondazione Cariplo’s NanoFast, and the University of Pavia for the synergistic effort.
