Python Developer

At the Laboratory for Ultrafast X-ray and Electron Microscopy (LUXEM), we develop & utilize innovative ultrafast methods for functional microscopy. LUXEM invites applications for a Python Developer to implement the software underpinning the remote controls of our imaging & diffraction devices.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Development, implementation and optimization of a cohesive software for imaging & diffraction devices
  • Innovation management, technology scouting

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • You have expertise in programming with Python and C, either form learning in the field or from a University degree in Informatics/Computer Engineering or similar
  • You have experience in data analysis and programming in Python, C, C++
  • You are a quick learner and working in a multi-cultural environment motivates you

Your profile is rounded off by having:

  • Good knowledge of English
  • Natural aptitude towards team-working and good communication skills
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving aptitude and good time management skills

TYPE OF CONTRACT

  • Entry/mid-level temporary contract
  • Initially limited to 1 year, renewable on a yearly base
  • Full-time employee
  • Workplace: Laboratory for Ultrafast X-ray and Electron Microscopy (LUXEM), University of Pavia (Italy), onsite and remote
  • Estimated starting date: as soon as possible
